If the given element is subject to mechanical damage it has to undergo metal type of processing. If the suffered damages are serious (for instance: holes) they are filled with various metal inserts. Smaller damages are filled with liquid metal. Solid grinding constitutes the basis of the properly executed renovation process. Errors within the art of grinding may be spotted with a naked eye. Execution of polishing, nickling or chroming processes will not repair the aforementioned drawback.
The process of polishing constitutes a further phase. It is connected to the processing of metal, aimed at the removal of any cases of unevenness from the surface which is subject to processing as well as to ensuring a shiny and mirror like looks. The polishing of surfaces is applied for both the preparation of the supporting ground metal surface prior the execution ofthe process of application of copper, nickel and galvanic chrome coatings and is applied as the finishing of the surface upon its covering.
